Sam TruittSam Truitt was born in Washington, DC, and raised there and in Tokyo, Japan. He is the author of the ten books in the Vertical Elegies series, among other works in print and other media. He has received grants and awards from, among others, the Howard Fellowship, the Fund for Poetry, and the University of Georgia. Robert Creeley likened Truitt to “a contemporary Everyman.” The President of the Institute for Publishing Arts and Director of Station Hill Press, he lives in Woodstock, NY. For more:
