Ruth Lepson
Ruth Lepson has been poet-in-residence at the New England Conservatory of Music for 25 years and has often collaborated with musicians. To hear musical settings of her poems go to ruthlepson.com. She edited Poetry from Sojourner: A Feminist Journal (University of Illinois). She organized poetry readings for Oxfam America, and taught in the poets-in-the-schools programs in Massachusetts and at various colleges and universities around Boston, inducing The Kennedy School of Government, Northeastern University, Boston College, The Art Institute of Boston, Bentley University and The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, and in Ohio at Lorain County Community College. Her poems and prose have appeared in many periodicals and anthologies, including Jacket 2, Ping Pong, Poetics from the More-than-Human World, Harvard Review, Let the Bucket Down, spoKE, Talisman, and New American Writing. She has given readings on NPR’s All Things Considered, in St. Petersburg, Russia, Barcelona and in New England.
