Robin Behn
Robin Behn is the author of four previous volumes of poems, including The Yellow House and Horizon Note, and two chapbooks. Co-editor of The Practice of Poetry: Writing Exercises from Poets Who Teach, and editor of a collection for young writers, Once Upon a Time in the Twenty-First Century: Unexpected Exercises in Creative Writing, she is a recipient of grants from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. Behn is also a musician, and has played flute and penny whistle with Waxwing Band and written the libretto for an opera, Freedom and Fire! A Civil War Story. Behn teaches in the MFA Program in Creative Writing at The University of Alabama and lives in Birmingham.
