Nancy Mitchell photoNancy Mitchell is the author of The Near Surround (Four Way Books, 2002) and Grief Hut (Cervena Barva Press, 2009), and with Daniel Lawless co-edited Plume Interviews I (MadHat Inc., 2017). Her poems have appeared in a wide variety of journals and are anthologized in Last Call (Sarabande Books, 2000); The Working Poet: 75 Writing Exercises and a Poetry Anthology (Autumn House Press, 2009) and The Plume Poetry Anthologies 3, 4, 5 & 6.  Mitchell is a 2012 Pushcart Prize winner and serves as Associate Editor of Special Features for Plume. She lives on the eastern shore of Maryland with her husband John Ebert and teaches at Salisbury University.
